Assessment Reports
Assessment reports are generated to determine students' current skills and test-taking abilities. Reports include: 

  • Student Summary: Use to identify what skills individual students will need to review throughout the year.
  • Item Analysis: Use in a conversation with students about why they got certain problems wrong, and how they can get them right next time.
  • Instructor Summary: Use to compare different classes, identify gender gaps, and spot overall trends in classroom performance.
  • Error Analysis: Use to decide which commonly missed items need to be reviewed in class.
  • Error Analysis by College Readiness StandardsTM or Score Range: Use to see which errors were most common among students in specific score ranges. This allows teachers to customize their instruction to students of different ability levels, thus increasing instructional efficiency and effectiveness.

Lesson Plans

Lesson plans are the bridge between data collected from the test and actual instruction in the classroom. Using lesson plans as a guide, teachers can use Cambridge textbooks and software to build essential skills and teach test-taking strategies and mechanics.
  • Lesson Plan Instructor Summary: Uses test data to construct a teaching guide for 12-, 30-, and 60-hour courses. Teachers are shown the concepts that need to be taught, what sequence to teach them in, and the estimated time it will take to teach each concept. The lesson plan then provides teachers with the appropriate instructional materials that will be needed to teach each concept, including sample problems from the Cambridge textbooks and appropriate page references in the student text, teacher's guide, and skill-building books.
  • Formative Connection Report: Provides teachers with formative conclusions at three levels:
    • Category Alerts signal teachers to focus instruction on specific categories that 
were commonly missed by students on the pre-test.
    • Action Items are targeted items that a 
significant number of students answered incorrectly. These items warrant special 
attention during classroom instruction.
    • Attractive Distractors are specific wrong 
answer choices that attracted an inordinate number of students, indicating a shared misconception that must be addressed by the teacher.
